Meru Networks

Innovation That Transforms Wireless Performance

Meru controllers, access points and software operate in concert to create a Virtualized Wireless LAN that intelligently monitors, manages, and directs network traffic. All wireless resources are seamlessly pooled into one Virtual Cell, then partitioned to match device and application requirements. Rather than a patchwork of individual access points, each client sees a single Virtual Port that travels with it throughout the network.

All Meru products feature Air Traffic Control technology that directs all network transmissions—upstream and downstream, and from standard 802.11 clients as well as Meru access points. The network has granular control over device behavior without the need for client-side software. Because each Virtual Cell requires only one radio channel, other channels are free for expansion, letting the network scale to the highest densities. Multiple lines of defense secure both the physical layer and virtual resources, providing real-time airspace scanning while serving real-time traffic.
